Access Your Inner Compass and Navigate Life with Unshakeable Confidence
"It’s amazing how much shift I can get by doing a journaling exercise, even if it’s just a short one. It really helps me tune in. Doing this helped me see how much resistance I have to doing something short that I know will help me be more effective. (Because I feel like I don't have time). It made me wonder where else am I not slowing things down to speed things up!"
~ Mary Ottman
"I have loved adding in journaling to my self-care ritual. It is a time designated to get to know myself on a deeper level. Journaling has not only given me massive clarity in my life, it has provided an outlet for any anxious thoughts that want to sabotage my day. I am very grateful for this course and the support that you have given in this journey!"
~ Tracy Gromen
"After years of journaling, this experience released some new layers of ME. I found myself being expectant and excited for each day's unfolding. Some of the prompts came to mind again days later when I wasn't even journaling & opened me up to more inner exploration. I caught some of those bubbles of wisdom later in journaling; other bits I just experienced in the moment & let go of. As a result, my body's feeling less tight & scrunched in (especially shoulders & neck) than a month ago. I'm enjoying being in at-ease-ness!"
~ Katie Chambers
"I benefited greatly from the journal prompts that challenged my defaults and assumptions. I learned more about the things I want to say YES to and boundaries that I want to create."
~Kayleen Cohen
"What I loved the most about this challenge is that it helped me to realize my love for journaling again. I journaled as a teenager and this challenge helped me to remember how it felt to express myself through journaling. It also helped me to reflect on the topics we were writing about and finding the strength to write even when I had no idea what to write."
~Gianna Digs
"I learned that movement before journaling is a great way to get out of your head. That it’s worth the time to journal, that’s where a lot of the breakthroughs happen."
~Miranda B.
"Journaling is like whispering to one's self and listening at the same time.” Mina Murray.
FIVE BENEFITS OF JOURNALING:
1. Get present with your emotions so that you can make decisions with clarity.
2. Learn to recognize your ego voice vs. your intuitive voice and choose what is best for YOU!
3. Release old ways of thinking and outdated stories that no longer serve you.
4. Achieving soul based goals that matter to you begins with clarity - Journaling often includes your dreams and ambitions, yet the idea that scribbled words can help achieve goals is understandably fanciful. But consider building a house without a blueprint. That makes more sense.
Writing goals signals to your brain - "this is important."
5. Expressive writing is a route to healing -- emotionally, physically, and psychologically. Dr. James Pennebaker, author of Writing to Heal has seen improved immune function in participants of writing exercises. Stress often comes from emotional blockages, and overthinking hypotheticals. He writes, "When we translate an experience into language we essentially make the experience graspable." And in doing so, you free yourself from mentally being tangled in traumas.
